Feed your plants and vegetables organically with our comfrey fertilizer.
Organic comfrey fertilizer to make you plants grow
Our comfrey is Soil Association certified organic.
In 1997 comfrey was rated one of the best homemade liquid feeds by the magazine Gardening Which. Compared with farmyard manure and garden compost comfrey leaves deliver superior proportions of nitrogen, phosphorus and potash.
Comfrey is a herbaceous perennial which has been used throughout the ages as herbal remedy (folk name knit bone), horse tonic and natural fertiliser. Coombe Farm comfrey is to be used solely as a plant feed and is not for internal consumption. We use the 'bocking 14' cultivar of Russian Comfrey (Symphytum x uplandicum) which we grow organically. Warning! Comfrey has a long tap root and most cultivars spread prodigiously - you could become overwhelmed!
To grow it just plant a short root stem in the ground in early spring and away it goes. It likes a damp shaded area.
