The sitting room is a beautiful wood-panelled space with a massive oak-framed window, comfy sofas and a roaring open fire. If you stay for Christmas we give you a lightly decorated tree from the forest then encourage

Large Kitchen Diner

The kitchen is a large but cosy space seating 16 with aga and modern electric over and hob. The massive ancient oak window has recently been beautifully renovated affording a cosy spot to sit and read.

Coombe farm has 8 bedrooms including several doubles with on suite. The bedrooms are all lovingly decorated with many period features and antique furniture. Included amongst the bedrooms is a spacious annex with its own lounge, kitchen and bathroom. The

In the mainhouse we have the TV room with boxes full of toys (further details below), but the main play area is the 70 square metre cider barn. The Barn is used as a massive play area with Table Tennis

Devon group accomodation at Coombe Farm

The joy of staying in this fortified farmhouse combines the cosiness of country life with the luxury of a large oak panelled living room, spacious corridors, your own secluded courtyard and much more.

Your welcome to Coombe is provided by Tim or Angela Malyon with a tour of the house and grounds after you can relax with a home made creamed tea or cake, together with that essential cup of tea after your journey.

The house sleeps a comfy maximum of 16 people so everybody can congregate together around the big old kitchen table, warmed by the kitchen aga. We have great flexibility in numbers of people sleeping in single, twin and double beds. There is also a spacious Annex which sleeps from 2 - 6 people.

Babies under 2 years of age are not counted in the number of 16 guests, they are free of charge and we provide 2 x travel cots and 1 x full size wooden baby cot (pls. Supply your own baby bedding)

Coombe farm downstairs floorplan. Enter through a convenient porch where you can leave your dirty boots and hang your coats and hats. In the hallway there are photographs from the Himlayas, taken by Tim Malyon, the house owner - photographer, freelance journalist and BBC radio producer. To your right is the large children's play room and library. This also doubles up as our music room and TV Snug. Beyond that there is a double bedroom with on suite. To your left when you enter is the spacious living room with the kitchen diner and pantry beyond that.

Coombe farm upstairs floorplan. Upstairs comprises of bedrooms and bathrooms as can be seen in the floor plan. The building is a traditional thatched Devon farmhouse so no two rooms are the same.
