Library & Children's Room
The Kids / music / TV room is ideal for occupying kids on those rainy days. Or perhaps settle back to read an old classic, tinkle a few notes on the piano, play an assortment of boardgames found in an old chest, or while away a few hours watching a favourite DVD.
Indoor childrens play areas
In the main house we have the TV room with boxes full of toys, but the main play area is the 70 square metre cider barn. The Barn is used as a massive play area with Table Tennis and pool, and soccer table.
Certified childminders and baby siters are locally available and can be booked in advance. Please give contact us in advance of your stay to make the arrangement.
There are a host of children's toys in the play room of house - three boxes crammed full of all sorts of children's toys and activities to keep children entertained. One is a dressing up box, another is for baby toys, and the other is full of various dolls (there is also a dolls house). The same room has a variety of children's DVD's and videos - a TV (with 'black box' freeview etc), DVD and video player.
There is a piano, tuned to concert pitch, and a collection of penny whistles. There's also an extensive collection of Tim's photographs, from India, Bangladesh, Tibet, Laos, The Philippines etc.
Outside the house we have a sand pitt, Trapeze, Willow Dome, Trampoline - but please be aware that their use is at your own risk - we are not responsible for any injuries which may happen! Children must be supervised at all times.
In addition to the toys we also have some baby equipment available: a wooden baby cot, two travel cots, a baby monitor, a mobile, a baby bath, a bouncer, steriliser, play pen, baby sling etc. Please tell us if you want to use the baby cot as we have to bring it over to the house for you.
