Why Middle Coombe Farm Is Such A Fabulous Place To Stay

Dream Wedding in DevonBeing at Middle Coombe Farm and immersed in the 400 acre estate is a magical experience.

For over eleven years, Tim and Angela Malyon have opened up their family home, gardens and sustainable woodlands to guests for holiday lets, weddings weekends, group retreats and now life celebrations, throughout the year, The Devon School of Yoga also runs its residential training weekends here in the thatched cider barn.

The historic buildings have a character of their own and with gentle restoration and exacting standards we are thrilled to have been awarded 4 stars for our accommodation by Enjoy England. This is a real celebration for us, and a wonderful validation of our work here.

With the historic city of Exeter and estuary town of Topsham (for the antique hunter) 30 minutes away your every need is fulfilled for your holiday or wedding weekend.

life-celebrationsThe woodlands were purchased in 1958 and the farm in 1960 by Brian and Alice Malyon who created a slice of natural paradise in mid-Devon from ruins. Grade II* Listing was awarded in the 80’s to protect the C16th thatched farmhouse, cider barn and extensive outbuilding whose restoration and maintenance is a constant project. Tim, their son, took on the legacy with his wife Angela and children Sofia and Finnbar with as much passion for the nature and woodlands as his father and the result of the ongoing hard work is nothing short of spectacular.

Middle Coombe Farm is ethically run and all the woodlands run sustainably.
