Outdoor Weddings & Covid – your questions answered

We believe that an outdoor wedding is perhaps the safest venue choice of all, as we emerge from Covid-19. With over 400 acres for you to enjoy your guests can certainly spread out!

"If you're thinking about the summer, I think you'll be alright.
It's my strong hope and belief, by the summer, whether by one
way or the other…. we'll be in a different world”

Boris Johnson December 2020

Here is our guide to a covid safe wedding.

Why is Middle Coombe Farm so good for a Covid-secure wedding?

With exclusive use of our full 400 acre estate, a wedding at Middle Coombe farm can be comfortably socially distanced thorough your day. Set in our own private valley you can be sure that your guests will be in your wedding ‘bubble’. We are also a registered Covid Secure venue.

Do I need to go indoors at all for my ceremony?

Under current laws you cannot legally get married in a totally open space – but you can conduct almost all of the legal ceremony outside. Our Cider Barn and farmhouse is registered for weddings – so you don’t even need to leave the farm.

What Ceremony can I have?

Once the formalities are done inside, why not have a celebrant led wedding? A celebrant can celebrate your marriage in any way you wish. We love holding ceremonies under our ancient oak in the middle of our 200 acre woodland, but equally it could be held by the pool or around the firepit or stone circle in the middle the meadow. There are so many choices!

How do I social distance the wedding breakfast?

In addition to the Cider Barn, our luxury marquee can be used for your wedding breakfast – or why not have a picnic in the meadow!

But what if I can't wait until restrictions are lifted?

Our discounted 2-part weddings are perfect for this as you can double your celebration. Have a small wedding on the date of your choice, then save the date for a larger celebration when it is safe to do so.
