As the autumn colours arrive, Pippa (our Jack Russel) and I often find ourselves kicking through the leaves in the woods and reflecting on the summer and facing another lockdown. In ‘normal’ years we reflect on all the love and wedding celebrations we’ve been privileged to share with our Middle Coombe couples.
But this year?
A rollercoaster – the lows of having to reschedule and the highs of seeing our lovely couples grow together and support each other through these uncertain times.
And now, as we face ceremonies and celebrations of just 15 for some time to come, this has meant for some postponing their wedding for the third time and putting married life on hold. Yet for some this has created the opportunity to get married with us with just their nearest and dearest – and save the wedding celebration until such times as restrictions have eased.
If there is no way, create one!
Sharing our 2020 couples’ personal journeys has been humbling as they have changed and re-changed their plans with such grace and understanding. For each couple we have tried to support them in the best way we can – and adapted our wedding packages to suit current guidelines.
Here are just some of the ways you can join us for your wedding at Middle Coombe Farm – but if you would like something else, just ask and we’ll do our best.
2-part weddings
Why not join us now for your marriage with your nearest and dearest and then join us again for your wedding celebrations when the restrictions are lifted. You still get the use of the farmhouse, woodland ceremony site and accommodation for both dates.
And to help you further, book both dates now and you’ll receive a discount on your total package price – even if we need to move them as guidelines change
This is a perfect option if the legal wedding is your priority, or you don’t want to delay. The best bit is that you can have a wonderful meal or weekend with your nearest and dearest then get the chance to wear your wedding outfits again!
Exclusive Wedding Weekends
Still want to wait for your dream wedding with all your friends and family? We are still taking bookings for 21 and 22 – but with so many weddings postponed this year dates are limited - our advice is to talk to us as soon as you can to secure your weekend.
Intimate Wedding Weekends
For up to 20 guests (or 15 with current restrictions) you can get married in the farmhouse. Choose from the drawing room complete with period panelling and log fire or the kitchen where through the ages many celebrations have been held in the most important part of the house.
Ceremony Only Elopement Weddings
We also offer ceremony only weddings. For these you get the use of all our facilities to enjoy for just one day.
A wedding with us is anything but small!
